The deputies of the National Assembly (NA), Adriana Pichardo, Manuela Bolívar and Liz Carolina Jaramillo informed that the flooding caused by the river affected thousands of homes in the Mario Briceño Iragorry municipality.

We warn of a possible emergency situation in the state of Aragua with the flooding of the El Limón river, and the continuous flooding in the Mata Redonda and La Punta sectors,” said Bolívar through her personal Twitter account.

For her part, Pichardo called on citizens to take the necessary precautions and take shelter. She also warned the authorities in Aragua to pay attention to all the affected communities.

This is not the first flood caused by the El Limón River; in 1987 the same thing happened due to heavy rains and poor cleaning of the canal.
