La Corte Suprema de Estados Unidos ha decidido que las parejas del mismo sexo tienen derecho a casarse en todo el país.
Los jueces votaron 5 a 4 a favor de esta resolución. El magistrado Anthony M. Kennedy redactó el dictamen final: “No existe unión más profunda que la del matrimonio…Las parejas del mismo sexo piden ser tratados con la misma dignidad ante la ley. La Constitución les garantiza este derecho”.
